The VFG invites online sellers, those who sell in brick-and-mortar shops, and other specialists such as museum and fashion-collection curators, historians, designers, and so forth to apply to become a VFG Member. Membership requires experience, expertise, and involvement as outlined in our Code of Practice.

We welcome you to peruse the criteria outlined in the CoP, and, if you meet them, we encourage you to apply, selecting the appropriate form below. We’d love to have you join us! VFG annual dues are $35. All applications are strictly confidential.

We are happy to answer any questions at Contact Membership.

Those not applying at this time can use our free website resources and join our community as a Registered Guest for access to our Public Forum (click the “Sign up now” button). Share your vintage finds, post questions, and discuss other vintage-related topics with like-minded enthusiasts and experts from around the world. Some of our registered guests go on to become Members, and we support all who are passionate about vintage fashion!

  • Vintage Fashion Professional (VFP) – Use this application if you do not sell vintage fashion, but are a designer, stylist, costumer, fashion writer, editor or blogger, museum or collection curator, author, researcher, educator, historian, or librarian focused on fashion history. Please note that long-time collectors and enthusiasts may not meet the requirements for VFG Membership.
  • Vintage Fashion Online Seller (VFOS) – Use this application if you sell online, even if you also have a brick & mortar shop or stall. If you sell online, you must use this application.
  • Vintage Fashion Brick & Mortar Seller (VFBS) – This application is for those who only sell from a brick & mortar shop, flea market, antiques mall or market, or other non-Internet, real-world location(s). Do not use this application if you also sell online.
  • Exception: Current, experienced brick & mortar merchants with less than one (1) year of online sales experience may use the VFBS to apply. Please provide your online shop’s URL in lieu of descriptions of items in your brick & mortar location(s). Your online shop must comply fully with our Code of Practice, and we will still require proof of your sales experience and images of your shop/stall, as outlined in the VFBS.

All memberships are equal once application is accepted. All VFG Members are subject to the same expectations of honest representation and are eligible for all the benefits of VFG membership.
