Shubette is a London based family business started in 1913 by Jack Offenbach. They designed, produced and supplied fashion to British department stores, and concentrated mainly on special-occasion wear for ladies.

In the 1960s they were particularly valued for their little black party dresses which were demure yet beautifully detailed, and effectively managed to combine classic elegance with the youthful fun of the mini-dress.

As their fashions became more popular they expanded the business internationally, introduced other labels, supplied to private businesses and designed for other labels.

Shubette is now classed as one of the leading fashion design and manufacturing groups in Europe, and is still owned and managed by the Offenbach family in Wembley. They supply most of Britain’s department stores and are currently designing under the labels Gina Bacconi, Shubette, Willow and A.N.T.
