Alberto Fabiani became the head of his family’s clothing business in 1951. In 1953 he married fellow designer Simonetta. For nine years they headed separate fashion houses, but in 1962 they formed a joint venture in Paris, Simonetta et Fabiani. This label lasted three years. Fabiani returned to Rome where he continued to design under his own name until he retired in the early 1970s.
