A trilby is a soft hat similar to a fedora, with a low, indented crown. Trilbies have a narrower brim than fedoras do.

There is usually a snap and a ribbon hat-band as trim.

Trilbies were popular in the 1960s and onward after the fedora fell out of fashion.
