VFG Member Augusta Auctions is holding a sale of fashion and textile items ranging from a 18th-century Quaker gown to a 1990s Issey Miyake “Circle” dress. Called “Virtual Vintage—Wonders For Your Wardrobe”, the auction is ongoing through February 22, 2022.
The sale is a live, remote auction being held on Feb 22nd starting at 11 am EST. While they are not opening the floor to in-person bidders, they are using several online platforms for clients to attend remotely, as well as offering their usual phone and absentee bidding options. The online bidding platforms, however, do offer pre-bidding up to the date of the sale itself. This allows people to pre-bid or enter absentee bids, which will be honored during the live sale, at any point before the hammer falls.
