Alice Pollock (b.1942) started Quorum, a London boutique and manufacturing business, in 1964. The following year she was joined in the business by Ossie Clark and Celia Birtwell. Together they designed and made the clothing that filled the shop and attracted the attention of the fashion conscious. In 1969 the business was acquired by Radley, but Pollock continued to design for the label into the 1970s. In 1973 Pollock and Clark dissolved their partnership.
