Wright & Ditson, a sporting goods company, was founded in 1871 by George Wright, a Baseball Hall of Famer, and Henry Ditson, a Boston businessman. The company was known for its high-quality tennis, golf, and baseball equipment, and was a pioneer in American sportswear.  In 1891, the company was bought by Spalding, but the Wright & Ditson name was continued until the 1930s. Today, the name is used by a vintage-style sports shirt company.
