Ilie Wacs (b. 1937?), Austrian-born American designer of ready-to-wear, Wacs left Vienna as a refugee on the last boat to Shanghai during WWII. After the war he returned to Paris, where he studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts and then worked for designer Alex Maguy.

He went to New York at the request of suit and coat maker Philip Magone. In the late 1960s he designed for coat maker Originala. In 1972 he formed his own firm. His work is seen from the 1960s to the 1980s and features lovely, but clean, cutting. He is especially known for his coats and suits.
