Superba Cravats was founded in 1873, in Rochester, New York and was originally named H. C. Cohen & Co, by its founders Herman C. Cohen and his brothers Henry and Barry. Herman C. Cohen’s son, Herman M. Cohn joined the company as a traveling salesman in 1907.
The next year he began promoting its ties under the brand name of “Superba Cravats”. The promotion was extremely successful and the company officially changed its name to Superba Cravats in 1948.
