Elisabeth Stewart was the daughter of Catalina founder E. W. Stewart. In 1956 (some sources say 1955) her father sold Catalina for which she had worked.
She then founded Elisabeth Stewart Swimwear along with her husband and two brothers. Elisabeth Stewart Swimsuits were known for being very wearable and flattering.
