(1908-1998) Carolyn Schnurer began designing in 1940, producing sportswear for her husband’s bathing suit company, Bert Schnurer Cabana. After WWII, the partners formed the Carolyn Schnurer label.
Carolyn Schnurer was an inexpensive sportswear label, making mainly sundresses with clever cover-ups, bathing suits, and casual party dresses, but she also produced some evening wear. Schnurer was a world traveler, who based many of her collections on exotic locales. The label closed in the late 1950s.
