Samuel K Robert was a clothing designer and manufacturer who was best known for his high-end leather and Ultrasuede garments, specializing in coats, jackets and suits, for both day and evening. During the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, his clientele included Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Joan Crawford, and Dionne Warwick. Icon Andre Courreges designed for him in 1965; he also employed Chester Weinberg, Bill Smith, and Peter Hatsi-Androu. Samuel Robert died in 2001 at the age of 93.
