Georges Rech (b. 1929) is a French designer who opened his house in 1962. He was a pioneer in creating luxury Ready-to-Wear. In 1973, he developed the Synonyme brand, a line of clothing made up of coordinated pieces that complement others in the collection. In 1983, he created a third line, Unanyme. In 1986, George Rech was chosen by Air France to design its new uniforms. In 1990, he retired and sold his entire business to the English group Courtaulds. In 2005, the Apostrophe group bought the George Rech company.
