Franklin Simon was another of the large department stores in New York City. Mr Simon started the business in 1902 under the name Franklin Simon Specialty Shops. The business specialized in goods imported from Europe and sold at the same price level as domestic products. The original store was located at 414 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. The company eventually had several branch stores in Connecticut and Long Island.
