Fleischer’s was founded by Joseph Fleischer. This Louisville, Kentucky and Syracuse, New York based ladies clothing store opened in the 1930s at 529 S. 4th Street, later moving to 521 S. 4th Street. The Louisville store expanded in 1960. There were two additional locations in Louisville, one at Dixie Manor Shopping Center and one at The Mall St Matthews. The owner was Joseph Fleischer’s Co. of Syracuse, New York.
