The Vintage Fashion Guild™ (VFG) is an international community of people with expertise in vintage fashion. VFG members enjoy a wealth of resources, avenues for promoting their shops and specialties, and camaraderie with others who share a common interest and passion.
Roland Klein (b.1938) first worked at Christian Dior in 1960-1962. He then went to work for Karl Lagerfeld as an assistant at Patou. Klein went to London in 1965, where he worked at Marcel Fenez. In 1973 he was made the director of the house, and was given his own label. In 1979, Klein opened his own design business.
Marcel Fenez was a manufacturing business. In the late 1950s and early 1960s they also made the ready-to-wear line of Madame Carven.
