Char is a leather goods and western style clothing company whose designer is Charlotte Blankenship de Vasquez. Char was started as a handbag company in Mexico in the late 1960s. In 1982 Char joined with her sister, Sherry Stein, to form Char and Sher. This company made western and southwest style clothing and leather goods. In the early 1990s, Stein left the company, which has continued to operate as Char.
