Donald Campbell owned and operated two shops in London, UK. The first, located in Chelsea Manor, was opened in 1973, with a second shop, located in William Street, opening five years later.
The shops carried high end ready-to-wear made from quality couture fabrics. Each item was individually cut and made, and the shop carried an average range of sizes, with small and larger sizes being available on special order. Figures that were a problem to fit were accommodated by made-to-measure patterns, and then the garment was constructed in a ready-to-wear format. This approach to fashion proved to be quite successful.
Donald Campbell was known for his use of wonderful fabrics which were made into clothes for a classic lifestyle. Mr. Campbell closed both shops when he retired in 2009.
Thanks to Mr. Donald Campbell for this information.
