The pixie hat or cap usually has a conical shape and a tall, pointed crown. Pixies are mythical creatures whose legend and lore originated in Devon and Cornwall, England. Various costumes have been ascribed to these mischievous and magical creatures, and over time they were depicted wearing pointed caps.
