United Colors of Benetton was founded in Veneto, Italy in 1965, by four siblings from the Benetton family. It was an iconic brand in the 1980s and 1990s, gaining a reputation for controversial ad campaigns. The company has struggled to hold on to its earlier popularity, reporting major sales losses in the 2000’s, leading to changes in its management.
