Sun Rose was a California sportswear brand that made stylish separates for college co-eds and young women at moderate prices. They incorporated in California in 1946, though they were probably manufacturing as early as 1941. Specializing in “slack suits”, skirts, blouses and jackets, Sun Rose primarily used casual and durable fabrics like corduroy and a crease-resistant rayon gabardine in a line they called “Gab-a-bouts.” They operated until the mid-1950s.
