St. Michael was the house brand of UK based department store chain, Marks & Spencer. The company was founded by Michael Marks in Leeds, England, in 1884. He was joined by Thomas Spencer in 1894, and the first shop opened in 1904.
The St. Michael brand was registered in 1928. By 1950, all goods sold at Marks and Spencer bore this brand name. The brand name was discontinued in 2000.
