Irma S. Frankenstein was a retail ladies apparel shop in Rochester, NY. Founded by Irma Strass Frankenstein circa 1937 at 293 Alexander St., she later moved to 252 Alexander St. Frankenstein’s daughter Marjorie co-owned the shop at the time of her death in 1963. Irma’s daughter Jean continued the shop for a few years after her mother’s death in 1975. The last mention in the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle is in 1978.
