Glazing

1) Finish for cotton fabrics such as chintz to give them a shiny finish. The glue, paraffin, and sizing [for glazing] may not be permanent while synthetic resins are. 2) Damage caused by a too-hot iron applied to acetate, synthetics and thermoplastic fibers.
