Directed by the legendary Billy Wilder, Some Like it Hot starred Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. The 1959 film follows two down-and-out Chicago jazz musicians played by Curtis and Lemmon, who, after witnessing a mob hit, disguise themselves as women and join an all-female band and run away to Florida to elude their pursuers. Monroe shines as ukulele player and chanteuse ‘Sugar Kane’, who’s iconic knockout costumes—while not completely historically accurate—capture the spirit of the era, while Curtis and Lemmon’s audacious foray into women’s attire was quite scandalous for the time!

Be the bees knees in 1920s beaded gowns and evening wear. Grab some hooch and get really spiffy in 1920s suits and menswear. Don’t forget resort wear and bathing attire for fun at the seaside. Don a swanky lid and cut a rug in boaters, fedoras, homburgs, cloches, picture hats, and turbans. When it comes to style and pizzazz this flick is the real McCoy!  Visit our fabulous forums for more.
