Wayne Clark (b. 1949) is a Canadian fashion designer known as “The King of Glamour”, for his elegant evening wear and well-tailored sportswear. Raised in Calgary, Clark studied fashion at the Alberta College of Art, and graduated from the fashion program at Sheridan College of Ontario in 1973. He began his professional career as an apprentice to Saville Row designer Hardy Amies in London. In 1977 he returned to Toronto and under his own name, he designed for manufacturer Aline Marelle, and others. He established his own brand in 1989, gaining a celebrity clientele in both Canada and the US.
