For 30 years Sander Witlin was a New York clothes designer in wholesale and designed couture house dresses, often from loft establishments. He then opened an exclusive couture shop on Madison Avenue between 1986 and 2001. During that time he also made custom dresses for various clientele, mainly from the music industry, but also from theatre and film. The dresses were designed to be ‘day party’ dresses.
