Samuel Winston entered into an agreement with Charles James in 1955 to produce a line of his clothes. A 7th Ave manufacturer, of blouses, etc. Roxanne was one division. This arrangement ended acrimoniously. Winston also employed Geoffrey Beene for a brief period in the late 1940s.
