Wesley Simpson was the husband of designer Adele Simpson. He designed fabrics, and they were used not only by Adele, but by other designers of the period. Simpson often collaborated with other artists, including Dali and Marcel Vertes. Often in magazine ads from the 1940s you’ll see his name along with the designer of the dress. Designers like Claire McCardell used his fabrics. Simpson closed his business around 1950.
