The Vintage Fashion Guild™ (VFG) is an international community of people with expertise in vintage fashion. VFG members enjoy a wealth of resources, avenues for promoting their shops and specialties, and camaraderie with others who share a common interest and passion.
Reitman’s was founded as a general store on Montreal’s St Lawrence Boulevard (or what is endearingly known to locals as The Main) by Sarah and Herman Reitman in 1926. A family run business, they opened their second store devoted solely to women’s apparel after the success of their general store’s clothing line.
Today they are Canada’s largest women’s retailer with over 800 stores running under 8 banners: Reitmans, Smart-Set, Cassis, RW & Co (includes menswear); Penningtons, MXM and Addition-Elle catering to sizes 14 plus; and Thyme Maternity.
