Our blog features our picks of the freshest vintage items, member news and articles. We have also created a growing series of articles on some classic designers.

Red or Dead was founded in 1982 by husband and wife team Wayne and Geraldine Hemingway. They started by selling second-hand clothing in London’s Camden and Kensington Markets, but were soon producing their own street-inspired line. They also opened a store in Blackburn, Lancashire, and with their clothing they sold their new fashion discovery, Dr. Marten shoes. In 1989 they had their first runway show and by that time had opened stores all over Britain. The line closed in 2001, only to reopen two years later.
