Tom and Linda Platt met in 1969 when both were students at Pratt Institute. They married and have been working together ever since. Both worked from home, making the costumes for animated figures in the Lord & Taylor and Saks Fifth Avenue Christmas windows in New York for several years before designing their first collection of women’s clothing in the late 1970s.
Their design philosophy is, “Life is complicated. Clothes should be simple.”
