Kestos brassieres were a triumph in simplicity in design, made in simple triangular shaped panels and offering support with freedom of movement . Made in apricot pink nylon mesh, the cups have single under bust darting, with side panels also in the mesh.
Under the cups, are two small buttons on small fabric tabs. The elastic under bust straps cross over at the back then button onto these tabs at the front, with fine self fabric loops. The rayon elastic straps have clear early plastic adjusters. Originally the packet contained a small attachment piece that could have sewn into the center back waist of your corset or girdle to push the back straps down for a backless effect- this small piece is not longer existing.
The neckline is finished with fine cotton net trim, the shoulder straps are in sided ribbon- satin finish at top and matt underneath.
The cellophane packet has the Kestos graphic printed on the front in blue. Inside the original liner card states: ART: Nylon Marquisette, Size 38/ with instructions on How to Adjust and Wear your Kestos Brassiere, along with washing instructions.
