Ferman O’Grady, Inc. was a misses’ dress firm formed by Irving Bialer, Hal Ferman, and Stephen O’Grady in Jan 1956. Their goal was to create dressy, “late day” and special events dresses that won’t “bend the budget”. Ferman’s favorite silhouette was the sheath. Many of their dresses had a lot of chiffon, chantilly-type laces, silks, failles and brocades. The last ads for the label appear to be from 1963. After that, Hal Ferman and Stephen O’Grady designed under their separate labels.
