The US Postal Service is honoring iconic fashion designer Oscar de la Renta (1931 – 2014) with a series of commemorative “forever” stamps. They will be sold in a pane of 11 stamps including one featuring a black-and-white portrait of the designer. The others highlight his fashion aesthetic.

De la Renta, who passed away in 2014, was known for his sophisticated and romantic look, and for dressing both celebrities and first ladies. His gowns were both extravagant and tasteful.

Some of the stamps appear to picture close-up views of patterned or solid-color fabric, while others show more of the full dress. Here are a few of the runway looks that were pulled for the stamps.
