The United Hatters of North America (UHNA) was a hat maker’s labor union founded in 1896. In 1934 it merged with the Cloth Hat, Cap, and Millinery Workers International Union to form the United Hatters, Cap, and Millinery Workers International Union. It was folded into the the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union (ACTWU) in 1983. The ACTWU merged with the International Ladies Garment Workers Union (ILGWU) in 1995 to form the Union of Needletrades, Industrial and Textile Employees (UNITE).
