The Vintage Fashion Guild™ (VFG) is an international community of people with expertise in vintage fashion. VFG members enjoy a wealth of resources, avenues for promoting their shops and specialties, and camaraderie with others who share a common interest and passion.
Peter Max (b. 1937) is not a clothing designer; he is an artist whose work has been adapted into wearables. Max burst onto the art scene of the 1960s with “Cosmic” art, which combined bold color and defining lines. The psychedelic nature of his work was a huge success and was soon found on articles of all kinds, including scarves, jeans, sneakers, and umbrellas. In the late 1960s Life magazine did a cover story on Max and the multitude of products that sported his art.
In the 1980s Peter Max did designs for labels called Via Max and Neo Max. These were articles of clothing for which he designed the art, not the clothing itself.
