Martha

Jul 23, 2010 | by admin | Label Resource | Labels

Martha (1898-1996) was Martha Phillips, who started her Park Avenue boutique in 1932. In time, her shop became one of the best known fashion shops in New York City. She eventually opened six stores, among them a store in Palm Beach, Florida that was opened in 1945. Martha was joined in her business by daughter Lynn Manulis. In 1993 the Park Avenue store was closed and Martha died in 1996 at the age of 98. The last store, the Palm Beach branch, was closed in 2003.
