Lee Herman was a prominent California designer specializing in beaded or elaborately decorated cardigan sweaters and wraps in the 1950s, and expanded into knit pant suits, coats, dresses and other costumes in the 1960s. Grace Kelly wore one of her jeweled knits on her honeymoon, and she was frequently showing with top local designers of the time. She made day-wear, cruise and resort wear, evening wear, and everything in between, in both ready to wear and couture lines.
