Tricorne

Feb 25, 2017 | by admin | Hat Resource | Articles

The tricorne or tricorn is a centuries-old style of three-cornered hat. During the 18th century it was worn by men of the aristocracy, the military, and also by regular citizens. It has a turned-up brim on all three sides and a triangular shape when viewed from above. A wide-brimmed version for women was popular in the early 1900s and the style was revived in the 1930s, 1950s, and again for Princess Diana in the 1980s.
