This week we honor actress, activist, dancer, style icon, and sultry chanteuse Eartha Kitt!
“My recipe for life is not being afraid of myself, afraid of what I think or of my opinions. “
Eartha Kitt was a strong and fiercely independent woman, known for her signature voice, elegance and poise. Kitt began her career as a dancer with the Katherine Dunham company. She spoke four languages and sang in 11—“Let’s do it,” “Cest si Bon,” and “Santa Baby” are among her most popular tunes. With a long-standing career beginning in the 1950s, she appeared in films, television, and in nightclubs until her death in 2008.
This week we are showing bombshell body-hugging mid-century silhouettes, glamour girl bathing suits, sportswear separates, fitted knits, evening gowns of all eras, turbans and fancy hats, sheer scarves, leopard and animal prints, dance wear, turtlenecks, and don’t forget the bling-y jewelry—it will be purrfect darling!
