Shadow print

A shadowy effect achieved by either 1. warp printing, in which warp yarns are printed prior to weaving, displaced slightly in the weaving process, creating blurry edges to the printed figures or 2. ombré printing, in which the printing roller is engraved more lightly as it reaches the edges of a pattern. The dye is then distributed unevenly, with a larger quantity apportioned to the more heavily engraved parts of the pattern. This creates a graduated, ombré effect in the finished print.
