Pussy Galore was opened in 1969 by Carnaby Street entrepreneur Henry Moss. The boutique was named after the character from the James Bond film Goldfinger, memorably played by Honor Blackman in 1964. The name reflected the playful and sexy clothes they sold and the ‘kinky’ mood of the era.
