Myles, Morton

Morton Myles worked with Herbert Sondheim and Larry Aldrich before starting his own business in the early 1960s.

He gained almost-instant celebrity in 1961, when Jacqueline Kennedy appeared on the cover of Look magazine in his blue sleeveless linen dress, for a family photo with President Kennedy, Caroline, and newborn John-John. Mrs. Kennedy had purchased several of his designs while her husband was still a senator.

Morton Myles maintained offices on 7th Avenue in New York until his retirement in 1994. He now lives in Scottsdale, AZ.
