Jeanne Marc was established in 1973 by wife and husband team Jeanne Allen and Marc Grant. Located in San Francisco, the Jeanne Marc label was one of the last to be made completely in the US, but in 1998 the label was all but forced to close, a victim of foreign competition.
The Jeanne Marc label was very high-end, with a suit costing around $1000 in the mid 1990s.
